LotR: Two Towers Trailer

Here’s a bootleg of the trailer for the next Lord of the Rings movie. It has shitty quality and the screen flickers but it seems like the movie is going to look pretty damn good. That and the Two Towers is probably the most intense book in the trilogy meaning the movie will probably be so as well.

Randomness is Good

This looks like a nice little website statistics analyzer, it’s shareware but I haven’t looked into the licensing so I don’t really know how long you can use it without paying. A nice free alternative is Analog, it can be run on your server or you can download the logs and run it at home.

Here are some more toys to play with: Moho is a powerful 2D animation tool and Argus is a little webcam program. Dave (housemate) is using Moho for his final film project this year, it’s looking pretty cool. I found Argus yesterday, which is why the webcam is back up — it’s small, simple and skinable, best of all… it’s free.

Arlington Road

I watched Arlington Road on television tonight. I remember seeing it a couple of years ago when it came out on video and liking it then. I still think it’s a pretty good movie, albeit somewhat atypical. I don’t think a lot of people like the ending, it’s just not the way Hollywood movies are supposed to be. Suffice it say I think the ending’s great and is what makes the movie more compelling. The movie is fairly relevant today, considering that the word ‘terrorist’ is thrown around all too much. It’s a chilling movie and worth watching if you haven’t seen it.

Bananas and Cream

Classes finished up on friday, so did a week full of assignments. Now exam time approaches. I took the weekend pretty easy, just had some fun and let loose. Now I’m going to head home for a couple of days, hang out with the family and get some studying done. It was my brother’s birthday yesterday, so I’ll need to pick something up for him. He told me he picked himself up a present in an Atari 2600… something else to get distract me over the next couple days.

It’s always tough when someone calls it quits online, especially when you’ve been reading their website regularly for awhile. So, I wish Simon the best in whatever he chooses to do. Endings and beginnings seem to walk hand-in-hand… Suffocate has had an active mailing list for the last couple of days — something we haven’t had in months. So it’s looking like we’re going to have some action again. I’ll have more time soon, so I think I’ll try and get Conform up and running again. I never officially closed it, just kind of gave up on things. At any rate…

More Random Crap

Greg the Bunny, I think the show has potential. It’s like the muppets — prime time puppets. Highlight of the night:
Look at your co-star.
Crayons taste like purple.

I was in the JDUC between classes and a CD sale was just starting up. I grabbed a copy of Resident Alien by Spacehog. It cost me three dollars. Cheap CD’s are good.

Search Queries

Yesterday was an odd day for search engine queries. Here are some of the more intesting ones:

giant testicles
dragonballz porn
dogs penis
cyclic redundency error
hardrive tandem
fake britney tutorial

I do in fact host a deviant porn site, that may be my undoing. Although that still doesn’t explain the cyclic redundancy error. Essay Essay Essay.

Muppet Quiz

Quizzes are always fun to kill some time. This one’s the Muppet Quiz.

The result: You are Fozzie! Wokka Wokka! You love to make lame jokes. Your sense of humor might be a bit off, but you’re a great friend and can always be counted on. Link via maura.
