This was an entry I tried to post earlier today, but my internet screwed up:

I finished my computer assignment late last night, around 2 o’clock. It was due at midnite. I walked across campus to goodwin hall to drop it off and found that the doors were locked. Other times there has been newspaper in the door’s to prevent them from locking. I was with another guy and he decided to start tossing some rocks at a window that had a light on in it. Someone was there, they opened the door and we got our assignments in before they emptied the boxes. Then there was a fire drill at 6:15 this morning. Yea! Less than four hours sleep, wake up. I went back upstairs and slept for another hour or so.

A guy came in today while I was out and tried to fix the internet. It’s still going slow, I’ll test it out tomorrow morning and see if there’s just heavy traffic tonite. A microsoft parody.

It was nice to come home for the weekend. I get back here and find my high speed connection is still slower than my dial-up at home. The upload is fine, download is horrible, I hope they fix it home.

I watched U-571 last night. It wasn’t a bad movie. I still haven’t seen Das Boot, I’ve been meaning too but it’s always out. No comparison’s between the two movies anyway. U-571 was pretty good, lots of good camera work, a lot of the scenes were pretty tense, overall I liked it. There were a few cheesy moments, the music didn’t fit the movie that well and the ending was kind of abrupt and fell off. It was still worth watching.

Haven’t posted anything in awhile. I’ve been pretty busy the last few days. Some assignments and stuff due. It was birthday on friday too, 19. I came back friday night for thanksgiving weekend, headin back up to kingston on monday. Haven’t done much since I’ve been here. Hanging out with friends, bought some shoes and boots. I’ll try and get some reading done today.

I just finished up my first test. Calculus mastery test. I think i did alright on it, other people seemed to be getting the same answers as me. The questions were harder than the practice test they gave us. Maybe they weren’t any harder, they just gave us numbers that you got weird answers for, it makes you think you did something wrong. I got my first computer assignment back yesterday, I got 5/5. Also got the first algebra assignment back today, got 10/10 on that. So far i’m doing pretty good. Now I have to get to work on another algebra assignment that’s due tomorrow. Then the economics one that’s due on friday.

Holy shit, the internet access in the labs is so much faster than the res. Resnet chokes during the day and at night, the only good time to download stuff is during the day. I’m sitting in my computer tutorial right now, trying to figure out what the hell i’m doing. The labwork they gave us shouldnt have been given to us this week. We haven’t been taught the required material, it also wants us to be finished assignment 3, but we just got that today. We handed in assignment 2 last night. Bah, back to work.

Attempting to get a website going for our floor, playing around with apache web server. I don’t know if i’m going to be able to host it without using my ip address. Something that i’d rather not do.
