Haven’t posted anything in awhile. I’ve been pretty busy the last few days. Some assignments and stuff due. It was birthday on friday too, 19. I came back friday night for thanksgiving weekend, headin back up to kingston on monday. Haven’t done much since I’ve been here. Hanging out with friends, bought some shoes and boots. I’ll try and get some reading done today.

I just finished up my first test. Calculus mastery test. I think i did alright on it, other people seemed to be getting the same answers as me. The questions were harder than the practice test they gave us. Maybe they weren’t any harder, they just gave us numbers that you got weird answers for, it makes you think you did something wrong. I got my first computer assignment back yesterday, I got 5/5. Also got the first algebra assignment back today, got 10/10 on that. So far i’m doing pretty good. Now I have to get to work on another algebra assignment that’s due tomorrow. Then the economics one that’s due on friday.

Holy shit, the internet access in the labs is so much faster than the res. Resnet chokes during the day and at night, the only good time to download stuff is during the day. I’m sitting in my computer tutorial right now, trying to figure out what the hell i’m doing. The labwork they gave us shouldnt have been given to us this week. We haven’t been taught the required material, it also wants us to be finished assignment 3, but we just got that today. We handed in assignment 2 last night. Bah, back to work.

Attempting to get a website going for our floor, playing around with apache web server. I don’t know if i’m going to be able to host it without using my ip address. Something that i’d rather not do.

A bit of mad programming today. I was working on my computer assignment, made a program to figure out the thermal expansion of various metals and a program to convert celsius into farenheit and vice-versa. It’s kind of a bastard trying to get these things to work, when you’re testing it, but 0 degrees celsius and it tells you the temperature in farenheit is infinity, you know you have a problem. All fixed up now though, I just have to do the documentation for the programs and I’m done the assignment.

Tried installing a bunch of different things last night. Had corel linux on the computer for awhile. It didn’t like being in a partition above the 8gb mark though, so i ended up deleting it. Then I installed BeOS. It installed well, detected my video card and network card alright, I think my soundcard is kind of sketchy. It figured out the card was by creative but it wouldnt play any sounds. I have to figure out the network settings for the queen’s servers so I can connect from be. For some reason it wouldnt detect automatically. Watched fight club again last night.

Didn’t do a whole lot last night. Met up with cam and went out to his place on west campus. His room is smaller than mine. We went out cosmic bowling with a bunch of people from west. I didn’t actually bowl, only 12 people at a time could, so we just sat in the background and had a couple beers. Time to sit down and get some work done, have a number of assignments to do.

Did work this afternoon, i’m going to try and get a bit done now, before i do anything tonite. Friday night doing work, sad. Never would have happened last year.

Perhaps liquid crack would satisfy the homeless and the hungry.

I got my computer back earlier today. They got it done early, that’s how to make me happy. So i’ve been spending some time re-installing stuff and browsing around the internet. I’ll try and get some of my notes typed up tonite, catch up a bit. Only have one class tomorrow, maybe i’ll get some work done.
